Notes:

1Categories of principal diagnosis were defined by grouping ICD‐10‐CM codes using the Clinical Classifications Software Refined (CCSR) into clinically meaningful categories. CCSR was developed by the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP), which serves as the central distributor of hospital data for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

Hospitalizations refer to inpatient stays that were completed during the specified year. The number of hospitalizations is often greater than the number of individuals hospitalized because some people are admitted more than once within a year.

‐: A dash (‐) indicates quantity zero (0).

[1-5],[6-10] The range indicates that the number of visits was either between (1 and 5) or (6 and 10). The exact count was censored to reduce the chance of statistical disclosure. The midpoint of the range (2.5 or 8) was used to complete the sparkline.
