to be held Wednesday in East Lansing

Michigan Office of Services to the Aging Director, Lynn Alexander, today announced the "ACTIVE FOR LIFE Walk, Wheel & Run for Fun," will be held on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, on Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at 10:30 a.m.

"The office of Services to the Aging is proud to partner with the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness-Health and Sports, Michigan State University and all the other dedicated sponsors, to host this important activity," said Alexander. "This promises to be a fun-filled day with entertainment, exhibits and give-aways to emphasize how important physical activity is to your health, regardless of your age."

"At the Office of Services to the Aging and the Commission on Services to the Aging we strive to promote independence and enhance the dignity of Michigan’s older adults and their families," said Alexander. "I urge citizens of all ages to come to East Lansing on Wednesday and take part in this wonderful event."
